Season dates 7 - 16 July
The images presented by Paul Grimwood in this exhibition were captured in 2005. They show shell-scarred buildings in Beirut with the local people fishing not 200 meters away. They show Beirut partly destroyed and partly rebuilt. They show ramparts of Tripoli. They show Aleppo, Syria, as a place of much beauty, culture, history, tradition - and peace. Then there are images of people going about their everyday lives.
The photographs were unscripted and unplanned. They depict something of what it was like in Syria and Lebanon in 2005.
