Sue Scobie

Sue Scobie crafts elegant 'vessels' in stoneware.  Her objects are central to the Academy's reputation for excellence in contemporary craft, or object-based art.

Both craft and fine art, her works present layers of colour and texture as the strata of her landscape-inspired forms. With titles like 'Shadowlands,' they jump from a figurative point of rerefernce to engage the imagination more widely.
