Deco is back!
We're celebrating a hundred years of Art Deco and the 40th anniversary of Napier's Art Deco festival. Originating in Paris in the first decades of the 20th century, Art Deco has made a significant mark on our landscape and living.....

maximum of two works (3 for Elected Artist members)
An entry form can be obtained from the office or we can send one to you.
The Entry fee is $10 for Academy Members while non members of the Academy pay a handling charge of $15 per work which must accompany the entry form.
All works must be original and for sale. No reproductions or art class material will be accepted. Works must have been completed in the past 18 months and have not previously been shown publicly in Wellington City.
COMMISSION
Academy members are charged 33.33% and Non members 40% commission on sales
Delivery of works by the Side Entry from the waterside doors. Exhibitors may deliver work direct to the Academy Galleries, Side Door, 1 Queens Wharf between 10am and 4pm. (contact office regarding earlier delivery if these times are unsuitable)
SWING TAGS and LABELS
each work must be ready for exhibition including a suitable method of hanging by a purchaser and have a label on the back of the work and a swing tag containing:
- The number of the work to correspond with that on the entry form
- Name and address of exhibitor
- Title of work
- Medium or process
- Price including GST
Please note....
- wet paint will not be accepted!
- Ensure labels and swing tags correspond exactly with the artwork details on the entry form
- all metal attachments should be taped over.
INSURANCE
Insurance is the responsibility of the exhibitor. All reasonable care will be taken of exhibits but the Academy cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage while on exhibition or in transit. The Galleries have a fully alarmed and monitored security system.
Out of Wellington artists:
Artists are responsible for return freight to & from Wellington, for North Island return please include a cheque of $12 and South Island $20, with return delivery instructions attached to your entry form. Works not selected for exhibition will freighted back or held to return with accepted work at the end of the exhibition.
Work must arrive at the Galleries no later than Tuesday 9th February

The exhibition runs from Saturday October 30 - Sunday November 21
Collection of work from the exhibition is Monday November 23 10am - 5pm unless by prior arrangement.
