Gallery Hire

The Academy Galleries may be hired for exhibitions by individuals, groups or for functions.

 

As a venue for after hours corporate and business functions the Academy Galleries are ideal. National corporations as well as Wellington businesses frequently hire the space for events that range from fully catered sit-down dinners to early evening cocktail parties. When these events take place during an Academy exhibition the guests are surrounded by up to 500 new works by many of New Zealand’s leading artists.

The walls are finished in a paint specifically designed to enhance works of art and the lighting system is of the highest gallery standard. Three versatile, accessible and spacious galleries, whether used singly or in combination, provide an exhibition space that is consistent with the best in the world.

We have hosted events as diverse as high level information and technology seminars for the BT Round the World Yacht race to a display of art work by the pupils of schools in the eastern suburbs.

The Academy Galleries are the ideal venue for a wide range of activities. As an exhibition space they are unequalled in Wellington.
